I Accept Yeshua!

the Lord! Congratulations! This is the most important day of your life! Today is your spiritual birthday because you just accepted the Lord! By accepting Jesus to be your Lord, you are immediately reborn! Now you're a "child of God!" So happy birthday and welcome to the family! Be assured, no one can take your salvation away from you when you accept Jesus as your Lord. Now we've some work to do. Believing and accepting the Lord into your heart are the first things you needed to do. Let's look at the next two things you will need to do if you want to get rid of some bad baggage that might be hanging around from some of the things we talked about in Doorways, and become really close to God!
Confess Your Sins And Repent Would you take a shower, use the best, most wonderfully fragrant soap, get dried off then take a filthy garment out of the dirty clothes basket, covered with grease, mud and soot and put it on? No way! That would be defeating the purpose of bathing! Well, in spirit, that's what's happening. Even though you now have eternal life, you're still wearing those dirty clothes you had on before! Yuck! "...your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you..." (Isaiah 59:2) "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) The sins, like the dirty garment, keep your Heavenly Father, God at arm's length. But don't worry! This is what you do: go to someplace quiet, so you can be alone and think; think about everything you've ever done that was a sin (if you aren't sure, ask yourself: did you feel bad about it, or did it hurt somebody/thing?); write everything down on a sheet of paper (Try to group them together to make it easier later). When you're done, you ask God to forgive you of all of the sins. (Read them out loud so it's heard in the spirit realm. God knows all of your thoughts, but the spirits involved can't read your mind. By reading the list out loud they will know you repented of what they tempted you to do!) Talking to God is praying. He doesn't require you to say specific words, just speak from your heart and be honestly sorry, repentant. After you confess and repent to God of your sins, ask Him, in Jesus' name, to forgive you of all of them; to cast out anything of Satan that entered into your body, soul and spirit, conscious, subconscious and unconscious through the sins and to wash you clean and seal those doorways closed forever with the blood Jesus shed for you!
